November 5th, 2011 - Ronny Lee made the trip to Greenville Speedway (Greenville, Mississippi) for the 5th Annual Gumbo Nationals over the weekend. With a $7,000-to-win/$700-to-start purse on the line for the 70 lap event, the weekend would start well for Hollingsworth as he set fast time in his group in time trials on Friday night before winning his heat race from the pole. Via his heat race win, he started second on the grid for Saturday night's finale, alongside Bub McCool. Early in the race Hollingsworth would run second to McCool, but a lap five restart would see him get sideways in turn two, collecting several cars, which brought his night and weekend to a disappointing early end. He was credited with a 24th place finish. Full weekend results are available at www.PRODirtCarSeries.com. October 29th, 2011 - The #18 Flynn Racing Team invaded Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) over the weekend for the 8th Annual Southern Belle Cotton Pickin' 100, and although the weekend didn't get off to the start that the team would've liked, when the final checkered flag dropped it was a strong outing for Ronny Lee Hollingsworth. With 66 Super Late Models registered for the weekend, Hollingsworth struggled to the nineteenth fastest time in his group, which left him starting seventh in his heat race. In the heat he would slip to an eighth place finish, which resulted in him starting on the fifth row of a b-main on Saturday night. For the majority of the b-main, Hollingsworth would struggle before making a change on the three wheel break, which allowed him to move to the high side of the track as he rocketed to the lead, and eventuall to the win to earn the 19th starting position for the $15,000-to-win finale. In the 100 lap feature, Hollingsworth would mount another great run as he advanced ten spots on his way to a 9th place finish at the checkered flag. Hollingsworth would race his way to a second place finish in the b-main to earn the 23rd starting spot for the 100 lap, $15,000-to-win finale. Throughout the course of the feature, Hollingsworth would make several trips to the work area as the team kept tweaking the setup on the car. September 24th, 2011 - It would be a serious understatement to say that Ronny Lee had an up-and-down weekend as he entered the 22nd Annual Magnolia State 100 over the weekend at Columbus Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi). Fifty-three Super Late Models entered the $20,011-to-win event, and on Friday night in time trials, he would make hard contact with the turn three wall on his first qualifying attempt, which resulted in heavy damage and caused him to start last in his heat. The team would thrash to get the car ready in time for heat race action. Despite starting ninth on the heat race grid, he would mount a great charge through the field to a second place finish behind race winner, Jay Burchfield. As a result, he locked into the tenth starting spot for Saturday night's 100 lap finale. As the race went green Hollingsworth began marching forward as he quickly worked his way into the top five. By the race's midway point he was battling Bub McCool for second as disaster nearly struck when a lapped car spun in front of the leaders causing the top three to make contact and take evasive action. Ronny Lee would sustain minimal damage in the accident, but was able to continue. As the race reached its latter stages he was running in the third spot when disaster struck with just three laps remaining when a rear suspension failure forced him pitside to a disappointing eleventh place finish. Full results are available at www.ColumbusSpeedway.net. September 17th, 2011 - The team entered the 7th Annual Bama Brawl on Saturday night at North Alabama Speedway (Tuscumbia, Alabama) looking to not only put Friday night's bad luck behind him, but also the bad luck of the previous month. When the final checkered flag dropped on the $4,000-to-win event he would accomplish just that as he became the first driver to ever win more than one Bama Brawl title. Thirty Super Late Models entered the event at the racy, 1/3 mile oval, and Hollingsworth started the night by setting fast time in his group and fast time overall to earn the pole position for the 40 lap feature with Josh Putnam starting alongside him. As the race went green Hollingsworth shot to the lead with Putnam, David Breazeale, and Ross Camponovo in pursuit. Hollingsworth would endure a series of cautions and would eventually jump to a ten car length advantage before the race's final caution flew with six laps remaining in the 40 lap event. As the race went green for the last time Hollingsworth would receive heavy pressure from Putnam, but would go on to claim the win, which was his third of the 2011 season. Following him across the line were Putnam, David Earl Gentry, Breazeale, and Camponovo. Full results are available at www.NorthAlabamaSpeedway.com. September 16th, 2011 - Friday night was an extremely frustrating night for the team as Hollingsworth made the trip to Boyd's Speedway (Ringgold, Georgia) for a $3,000-to-win, Volunteer Racing Series (VRS) event. Twenty-five cars would enter the event, but Ronny Lee would see his event quickly come to an end with electrical problems in hot laps. The team would spend the whole night debugging the problem before finally resolving the issue in preparation for Saturday night's event at North Alabama Speedway. September 10th, 2011 - Ronny Lee returned to action on Saturday night with the 1st Annual All American 50 Presented by the Mississippi National Guard at Jackson Motor Speedway (Byram, Mississippi). The unsanctioned, $5,000-to-win event saw a field of 38 Super Late Models sign in for action, and after setting fast time in his group, Hollingsworth started on the front row for the 50 lap feature. As the race went green he would bolt to the lead and would pace the first 32 circuits before tagging a tractor tire causing him to spin, and bringing his night to a disappointing end. Full results are available at www.JacksonMotorSpeedway.net.
August 19th, 2011 - The team started their weekend on Friday night at Green Valley Speedway (Glencoe, Alabama) with a $2,000-to-win, PRO Dirt Car Series Super Late Model event. With a stout field of 35 Super Late Models entered, Hollingsworth started the night by setting fast in his group and overall to earn the pole position for the 40 lap feature event with Tony Knowles starting to his outside. As the race went green it was Knowles, who shot to the lead, with Hollingsworth in second. Ronny Lee would run second until the tenth lap, when he spun from contention. He would ultimately register a 16th place finish. Full results are available at www.PRODirtCarSeries.com.
Heat race action would see Hollingsworth run away from the field on his way to the win, which locked him into the dash to determine the top ten starting spots for Saturday night's 100 lap finale. In the dash, Ronny Lee would finish sixth, which left him starting sixth for the feature. Heavy afternoon rains on Saturday left the racing surface heavy and tacky. Early in the feature Ronny Lee would race his way as high as the sixth position before ducking into the pits during an early race caution. He would rejoin the tail of the field, and over the course of the remainder of the event he would race his way to a 12th place finish. Full results are available at www.WoOLMS.com.
